The Right Traits

CROPLAN® soybean seed includes leading genetics and the newest traits to optimize the crop’s value and yield potential.

Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield

Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans provide farmers with the same proven benefits of Roundup Ready® soybeans, combined with the only soybean trait that has the primary benefit of additional yield potential.

  • Roundup Ready 2 Yield® serves as the base technology for all future soybeans.
  • Studies show that Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans develop greater root biomass, more nodes on the main stem and larger shoot biomass than original Roundup Ready® soybean products.

LibertyLink Soybean Varieties

LibertyLink® soybeans for use with Liberty® herbicide offer the only nonselective alternative to glyphosate-tolerant soybean systems.

  • LibertyLink® soybean varieties combine high-yielding genetics with built-in tolerance to Liberty® herbicide.
  • Liberty® herbicide can control more than 120 broadleaf weeds and grasses in soybeans, including pigweed, ragweed and lambsquarters.

Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans Now Available

Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans are built on the high-yielding Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® technology — trusted by farmers and offering them optimal yield potential, with more beans per pod and more bushels per acre. Introduced with more products across more maturities than any previous soybean launch, Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans are:

  • Tolerant to both dicamba and glyphosate herbicides
  • Locally tested
  • Coupled with disease packages suited for specific regions
  • Available in maturity groups 0 through VII
Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans offer farmers more consistent, flexible weed control — especially tough-to-manage, glyphosate-resistant weeds. It is the industry’s first biotech product with glyphosate and dicamba tolerance. Here are a few key insights to help you get the most out of Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans.

1. Follow label instructions exactly. Each low-volatility herbicide product that is approved for use with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans has unique application requirements listed on its product label. Thoroughly read and follow the label requirements to ensure successful use.

2. Manage drift and volatility. To help minimize potential drift, the new product labels limit application to use only during certain wind speeds, and applicators are cautioned to watch for possible temperature inversions. Because each label differs slightly, it’s important to follow the recommendations precisely as stated for the product being used.

3. Include drift-control adjuvants. Adjuvants are also recommended for effective drift-control management with the dicamba-tolerant system, and some DRAs are required to be added to the tank when applying certain tank-mix partners like glyphosate brands. Lists of adjuvants and tank-mix partners, along with nozzles approved for use may be accessed online for XtendiMax® With VaporGrip® Technology, Engenia® Herbicide and FeXapan™ herbicide plus VaporGrip® Technology. Because label changes continue to be made, you are required to review the online label no more than seven days prior to making an application.

4. Protect against resistance. Weed resistance to new herbicides can develop quickly if only partial weed control is achieved with an application. But if you apply the specific rates and follow the application procedures on the product labels, weed-resistance issues can be minimized. To remain effective and provide expected weed control, the new dicamba products should be part of a diversified weed-management strategy that includes multiple modes of action, paired adjuvants and recommended best management practices.
